Intermediate inspections of cold stacked units.
A lot of vessel owners have had to take drastic steps in reducing their active fleet by laying up numerous vessels. If the process of cold layup is done correctly, the value and reliability of the vessel when brought back into service should be guaranteed, BUT:
- your experienced crew is most likely put to work where they can perform best: a vessel in operation. All that is left is a skeleton or maintenaince crew brought in by a subcontractor to whom you have trusted your assets. Degradation of your vessel however is inevitable.
- class requirements are met, and still annual surveys are being carried out so one would expect the re-activation to be without any problems. But are you sure they look beyond the safety of the vessel and vital machinery? What about your mission equipment?

If you want to reduce the risk of expesive surprises during re-activation, or an unexpected loss during sale, let us survey your equipment independently.
We’ll issue a full report on inspected items, expected issues during re-commissioning and recommendations on future maintenance.
